Volker Bause
Volker has almost 2 decades experience in the IT industry which began with computer science in school. After completion of a 3 year diploma in Business Computing with a bursary from CDM (Consolidated Dimond Mines / Now NAMDEB), he started working at what was then called Namibian Computer Services for 5 years. Upon Namibian Computer Services merger with QDATA, he resigned to start his own company.
His background experience as computer programmer enables him to provide unique solutions to some of the most difficult IT and networking problems. Volker has gained a fair ammount of expertize with many Microsoft products staring with DOS in 1987 up to Windows 10 in 2017. Additional expertize includes server products such as Microsoft Servers, Novell Netware, BSD and Linux.
Volker studies include various programming languages such as Pascal, C, C++, MSSQL, MYSQL, Progress, Ideal, Borland C++, Borland Delphi, Batch scripting, Bash scripting, HTML and CSS to name a few. This web page is just a very small testament of his programming skills. His software and programming expertize extends to virtualization technologies, networks including virtual private networks, remote access solutions, anti-virus and anti-malware solutions, backup solutions, cryptography, domain name registration services, web hosting and web development.
Over the years Volker gained extensive troubleshooting and configuration experience with TCP/IP, LAN/WAN architectures, switches, hubs, routers, firewalls, and DSL technologies and software.
In more recent years Volker focused his energy into developing projects that would focus his expertize. This included Web- and email hosting services, domain name services, Linux file servers, onsite and offsite backups, anti-virus and malware solutions, Windows workstation roll-outs on SAMBA domains etc. More recent efforts concentrate in web site development, professional photography and marketing of former services.
